John Nasca will directed a enhanced staged reading of the new play Hello Norma Jeane, by Dylan Costello. The reading is part of Pride Films and Plays, annual Gay Play Contest. Featured in the cast are: David Geinosky, Kris Hyland, Glitterati company member Michelle McKenzie-Voigt, Rachel Payne, Chad Ryan and Kelli Walker.

85 year old Lynnie arrives in Hollywood claiming she is Marilyn Monroe who faked her own death to escape the public glare. Is she really Marilyn? Her grandson who is a Marilyn impersonator does not believe her, at first. And why do they both see visions of young Marilyn?

Pride Films and Plays is delighted to present its first full production - Love Sucks by Rob Mersola, a not-so-romantic comedy of bad manners, opening November 3. In Love Sucks, we follow six romantically challenged philanderers through a 48-hour maze of the bars, back seats, and bathroom stalls of New York's Lower East Side.

Love Sucks was recently named Best Production of a Comedy by the L.A. Scenie Awards, and Backstage Mag...azine hailed it as "90 minutes of down and dirty fun!"

PFP Artistic Associate John Nasca directs the comedy, which features PFP Artistic Ensemble members Valerie Heckman, Cyra K. Polizzi, Chad Ryan, Kevin Webb, and guest artists Edward Fraim and Adam Habben.

John Nasca directs Maurice which is part of Pride Films and Play's staged reading series Gay UK.

E.M. Forster's novel Maurice was written in 1913, but only published after the author’s death in 1971, as it follows Maurice Hall from school days, through University, and beyond. Roger Parsley and Andy Graham’s remarkably faithful adaptation brings all the contradictions of love in this period alive in a work about family, loyalty, and love.

Featuring; Charles Berglund, Jude Hansen, Jonathan Helvey, Michelle McKenzie-Voigt, Cyra K. Polizzi and Kevin Webb.

Director John Nasca announced that a workshop reading of the new musical By the Stars, will take place toward the end of May, 2011.

The musical which is being written by R.J. Nestor and David Scoville takes place in New York city during the 1920's. A backstage story about a young girl who survived the sinking of the Titanic and now dreams of becoming a star in the new talkie movies.
