No, No, Nanette
This past week I got the go ahead to put together a production of No, No, Nanette. We were originally going to do a production of Chicago, but the Broadway producers would not give the company the rights. Might we be a threat to their ticket sales? I hardly think so...
Well enter Nanette. It had just played Off Broadway with daytime diva Rosie O'Donnell and Miss Peter Pan herself, Sandy Duncan. The production got all around good reviews and left New Yorkers once again tapping their toes. It also takes place in the 1920's just the same as Chicago. However Nanette is a happy, nostalgic piece of fluff. But grade A fluff. Many great songs, I Want to be Happy and the classic Tea For Two.
I'm also very happy to announce that the Glitterati staff will once again be aiding and abetting...Robert Hilliard will be the production Stage Manager and Tiffany Nasca and Christine Rivera with the Assistant Directors. Shawn Quinlan will once again choreograph and Michael (no relation to Roseanne) will again be the Musical Director.
Auditions are coming soon. Watch the Glitterati page for info.
