Moon Over Buffalo Information
The Playwright:
Tony nominated, Ken Ludwig has given us his sole support in this production and has made himself available for interviews and all media and press outlets. This means thousands of dollars of free publicity which will help sell tickets and in turn help advertise your business. Mr. Ludwig is also the author of Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy for You.
The Play:
Moon Over Buffalo tells the story of George and Charlotte Hay, two has-been stars desperately trying to claw their way back to the top of the show biz pinnacle. When their big break finally comes, a side splitting parade of misinformation, mistaken identities and inebriated egos threaten to ruin everything. Superbly acted and glamorously costumed, this fast-paced comedy leaves the audience breathless from laughter.
The Critics:
"Hilarious…building up its laughs methodically shtick by shtick…Ludwig stuffs his play with comic invention, running gags. . . and a neat sense of absurdity. . . go and enjoy." N.Y. POST
"Somewhere up above. . .George S. Kaufman, Abe Burrows, Moss Hart and all those clever fellows who wrote the comedies of yesteryear are rolling with laughter, echoing the audience last night at. . . Moon Over Buffalo. . . The play is nothing less than a love letter to live theater." THE BOSTON HERALD
The Venue: The play will be performed at Theatre Building Chicago which is located at 1225 W. Belmont. Moon Over Buffalo will play in the South Theater of the complex which holds 150 patrons.
